  1. I now live in Australia, and it's mid Spring. How do I make a dancing banana thing?
  2. That made me chuckle at its honesty. Sign Lambert - he's too old and were moving away from our transfer policy. Don't sign Lambert - no flexibility in the transfer policy and we need experience. That lama fella, if Rodgers wants him, so be it. He's the manager. And I trust him. Like I did when he started out.
  3. How about 20 million with a 10 million bonus if he plays regularly in a title winning team? Or 5 mill for any trophy he helps us win? That could mean Soton throwing the odd league game too! ;-) I read someone somewhere say true value can only be known with hindsight, which is essentially true.
  4. I view it as similar to when Kenny took over and Paisley took on an advisory role. It's just that Van Gaal will taken the flak if it fails...not Giggs
  5. You mean the same way oodles of fans on here were crying out for him (or similar ) and slated the Rodgers appointment as an easy 'yes man' for the yanks?
  6. I might be reading this wrong, but are you not a fan of Lucas?
  7. If we were two points up, one game to go....how many on here would say it's over?
  8. My dad was a blue. But loved the City, and wanted what was best. He always wanted success for both clubs as he thought it benefitted everyone. He even had YNWA at his funeral, we never discussed why beforehand, and it surprised even me. (Maybe it was a message to his 25 yr old lad?!) I just felt it epitomised his feelings towards his home town. Anyway, win, lose or draw, it's been a proud season, where I've not had to make excuse after excuse about our performances. I think maybe 20-0 v Newcastle will sneak us home after a sneaky little away win at Palace.
  9. I like the fact that when asked if he'll be watching the Everton City game he replied "of course. I'm not one of these who claims he'll be out on the golf course. I love watching football" (not exact quote for the fussy cunts but near enough)
  10. And Gerarrd retiring from England will help. More rest. Three more years in him yet!
  11. Goals for/against is one thing, but it's GD as a whole that matters. Unless that's level and it's the first column that matters then, and we are great in that respect. We've currently got the joint best GD we've had in the premier league, and got two games to beat it. We've made a few mistakes that have led to silly goals but Rodgers can't coach not to slip, or not to hook it past your keeper. Best season I can remember league wise since 1990, and whatever position we end up in, we have given it a fucking good go with a manager who is learning and despite what you imply, is prepared to adapt. Possibly a bit naive against Chelsea, but I'll forgive him that. If he'd have matched Chelsea's line up, you, or somebody else, would be having a pop at him for not going for it.
  12. Fuck City. Win our own games and see where we are.
  13. I live in Nottingham now, have done for nearly 20 years and you're right. My boss is a big Forest fan who still holds differing opinions to me on lots of subjects, football related. Anyway, screw them all, great season, and it's not over yet.
  14. I may even pop the boozer to watch that tomorrow. For shits, and hopefully, lots of giggles!!!
  15. Win against palace first. Then see where we're at. And pray to God it's only a two horse race on the 11th. If we win against Palace I'll be as happy football wise as I've been in years. Level at the top (at worse) going into the last game of the season? What's not to fucking love? Just. Beat. Palace.
  16. I know what you're saying, but the same rule applies for established top pros. You just don't know how they'll fare in this league. Essentially, every signing is a gamble.
  17. My derby mate was commenting last week how it feels to him that everyone, especially the press, is desperate for us to win it. Not him though, he still has nightmares from us being the team in the 80's.
  18. I expect to tell my friends I love them and cry. That's normally about an 8.5/10 in terms of drunkeness
  19. Just about all the hotels are booked up. I'm going to visit mates in my old town of Ellesmere Port and get the train over. Like I did in 1990. Omens and all that. Although I'd also need a fuck off great set of curtains on my head instead of the shaved baldness if I'm going the whole 9 yards. Sandon for me I think.
  20. I've been on it since 2003..... I'm hopefully emigrating later in the year....you want my spec?
  21. Stubborn? He's tinkered with his tactics to suit his players, changed the "death by football" to swarming forward. He's certainly not stubborn. Unless you mean he's not had the chance to alter personnel. Flanagan is one for the future, Johnson looked shocking against Norwich, but I'd happily keep Agger, Martin and Sakho and add a LB, RB. I If not being stubborn means going back to 1-0 and hanging on instead on 3-2 and hanging on, I hope that BR does his best fucking mule impression.
  22. If he said "game on" then maybe he's enjoying an enthralling long title race and a great game? Like the ref who celebrated when he played a good advantage. Whilst I moan and gripe about refs, they've put more time and effort into the game of football than anyone on this forum and when all is said and done they love the sport. Of course they'll get swayed occasionally, almost sub consciously, lets hope that it's for us not against.
  23. Apart from a European cup win. But I see what you mean
  24. Not sure i have my Anfield debut shirt. And I know it wouldn't fit. I think I was nine.
  25. Beat or Favourite?! Jan Molby is my favourite, loved him and got to have a little chat at one of those "evening with" things. He was quite happy to chat as well. Best for me is going to be the current captain, followed closely by Digger. I still remember those two goals against QPR and just how majestic he was that season.
