Mine has to be the "Picture unsecured loans" advert. I just get this lovely urge to throw acid in that fat knackers face. Especially in the bit where he goes "No a bit of rain never hurt anyone". I'll gladly hurt you fat boy, just give me the chance. Fuck off you fat insolvent wanker, why is your bird following you round the (bank's) house with a digicam when you're teeing up a loan in a desperate effort to stave off the creditors.

Steve, We've had a little collection on your behalf, in recognition of your contribution to the life of the forum and our admiration for the way you have shared your experience of this bastard of a disease on the Cancer thread. There cant be many who have not been humbled by your wicked sense of humour and the way you have continued to make the most of every opportunity to enjoy life to the full all along the way (you know what I'm talking about here) Right, enough about you. Arthur Friedenreich reckons he's just a short distance away from you and would like to call in and give you our gift on behalf of us all, if thats ok with you. Would you PM him to let him wha…

So what do you think about the start to the new seies, Hoddy? I'm loving the political machinations with Burrell getting manipulated all over the place and Rawls as the new (and very unpopular) Deputy Opps. It feels like another slow-burning classic with Cheese gaining a bigger role, Avon on his way out of slam, Omar great as ever and Greggs turning into a female McNulty by the second. Gotta love the "Put kids off violence by autopsy" route to keeping the streets clean, too. I've seen the first two episodes and it already feels even better than Season Two. Oh, by the way - did you see The West Wing has been canned? Season 7 is the last one. Also, did you know th…

i was just browsing earlier for an image and i realize that i have amassed, over the years, quite a good collection of images of warfare. i hardly remember where/when i found them all, but it definitely took some effort. i thought i might share some with the forum....i'll skip the more common ones that are familiar and easy to find, and post some of the more obscure images that are historically important, or just great photographs. i hope this is well received for its historic value - i don't have an agenda, nor am i some sort of war monger. i studied military history in university, and was always fascinated with warfare since i was a boy. i also have more than a…

In the pub with my mates a few days ago and someone said try and name the top 5 fittest scouse girls. Famous ones like, not some slapper you used to bang. It was hard work. We had Kathy Lloyd and Jennifer Ellison and not much more. Clancy was denied access for some reason and one of the lads spent ten minutes trying to convince us to give entry to Claire fucking Sweeney. Got to be some more, surely? Warning! Really heartbreaking story. One of my closest friends lost her brother last week and is obviously absolutely devastated. He has 2 young kids (age 4 and 7). I was talking to her yesterday and she was in tears telling me how they'd broken the terrible news to the children, specifically the 7 year old. I asked how he'd taken it and what he'd said and, still in tears, she told me the kid had replied "Can I have his phone?" I don't think I've ever struggled so hard to keep a straight face.

With the teachers unions voting to strike today and the PCS expected to say the same tomorrow; it looks like there is going to a big teachers/civil service strike on the 30th June, with even bigger ones probable for later in the year. I can only see this getting worse, especially with Vince Cable warning last week the government could clamp down on the right to take strike action. Anyone going to be taking part in this? Or going to be affected by it? Thoughts? BBC News - Teachers vote in favour of strike over pensions

Right. The run-in begins! So as to not fuck around: ENGLAND- 4 x Tests v India in India (Nov-Dec) 3 x Tests v New Zealand in New Zealand (March) 2 x Tests v New Zealand in England (May) AUSTRALIA- 3 x Tests v South Africa in Australia (Nov-Dec) 3 x Tests v Sri Lanka in Australia (Dec-Jan) A quick glance at those games would suggest England have the better preparation, with New Zealand conditions not too dissimilar to English conditions. Then to get two games in just before the Ashes begins is also a bonus IMO. Then factor in England's home ground advantage, as well as the psychological edge they have over Australia from the previous two series win…

I tell you what, that Rafael Nadal is outstanding. If Federer wasn't about he'd be talked about as a future all time great. Only 21, never lost a match at the French open & has a winning record over Federer. With Djokovic and Murray playing well, tennis could get good again

Wondering whether any of you cool cats might be up for putting together a small club to share and review music ? Keeping the expense to a minimum, we could use Spotify or Youtube to review free online albums (pm me if you'd like a link to a free Spotify Premium acccount for Android devices). Was thinking of around 10 of us, where 1 person would choose a record of the week to review / comment upon / debate and argue about, a different person choosing weekly. Favourite records, new stuff always good, something topical, anything really. The GF is also really good in so much that there are a load of us with really diverse musical tastes, and it would be interestin…

Who is gonna win the Olympic Gold for Gorgeousness in Beijing? I’ll set the standard with the steroid-sexed goddess known as Yelena Isinbieva. Yelena is clearly a Gold Medal contender. Can any of you nominate Silver and Bronze?

It can be the bloke down the baldy bloke down the street with some 21yr old hottie, celebs or indeed fictional characters. I'll start with this from Dirty Dancing, never for the life of me understood why this minger was cast to be the sweetheart of possibly the coolest motherfucker ever Swayze.

There are some cracking stories in local newspapers, which don't make it nationally (and are not worth starting a thread for). This thread shall be their repository. I'll kick off with the Morecambe reaper. http://www.thevisitor.co.uk/news/local/man-dressed-as-grim-reaper-arrested-1-1208455 A man standing outside Morecambe police station dressed as the 'Grim Reaper' was arrested after a drunken night that went from bad to worse. Christopher Kelly, 31, had come to Morecambe on October 5 with a group of friends from Nelson and got extremely drunk on lager and vodka. Kelly lost his mates, who were celebrating a friend's birthday and were also drunk, and wandered …
