I can only imagine the "makingitallaboutthemagainisms" coming from them if we made a Ukrainian reserve player who's hardly had a sniff of football captain for a game.

They are everything they accuse us of being. Please go down you boring, touchy, virtuous cunts.

Cup draw should be the least of their worries:

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison are set to top the list of Everton players circled by rival clubs amid the uncertainty after Alisher Usmanov’s companies had sponsorship deals suspended at Goodison Park.

Uzbekistan-born Russian billionaire Usmanov has been hit with EU sanctions this week following the invasion of Ukraine, with concerns over how it will impact Everton where his USM company has built close ties and sponsored its Finch Farm training ground.

Everton have insisted the suspension will not affect the development of their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, although players are expected to be targeted in the summer window.

England striker Calvert-Lewin is one of their biggest assets as the club’s highest Premier League goalscorer in the last two seasons, earning him a place in England’s squad for Euro 2020.

Newcastle United have discussed the 24-year-old as a striker for the new Saudi-Arabian ownership era, while Arsenal will look at signing a striker in the summer. Manchester United are also expected to be in the market for a striker as Edinson Cavani could leave. Bundesliga clubs have also shown an interest in the former Sheffield United striker.

Richarlison, 24, has previously been subject of interest from Barcelona since arriving from Watford and forcing his way into the Brazil squad. With two full seasons left on his contract, his market value is still expected to be high, beyond £50 million, when the window opens.

Other key first-team players include Jordan Pickford, who has been on Tottenham’s radar as they make long-term plans for Hugo Lloris’ successor.

Rafael Benitez spoke of financial fair play being a factor in the transfer market before he was sacked earlier in the season and replaced by Frank Lampard. The Spaniard’s main summer signings were Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray for a combined total of £1.7million.

Top mockering there, Angie!

Shit just got a little more real for them. US and European sanctions were an inconvenience, but they will have been hoping that the news story earlier today, of UK being unable to build cases to sanction oligarchs would see them largely unaffected for quite a while.

Works like a charm *wink

Just as the Bloos seemingly cannot help themselves making one bad decision after another, they can at least be given a bloody good run for their money by Spurs. Going for Pickford to replace Lloris would be as Spursy as peak Spursy gets.

I hope they do it.
