At the end of last season and start of this , you could just see people waiting to write him off but he's been exceptional this season.

 

I'd say behind Xabi he's been our second best player and almost faultless. Despite not really having a settled partner for most of the season he's consistantly delivered world class defensive displays , with Chelsea away in particular standing out.

It may be a bold claim but I think he's now the top defender in the league.

Carra is class and a legend, but to say almost faultless this season is a bit much, 2 unbelievbly stupid own goals v Hull and Spurs in particular when we were coasting has cost us points and he was'nt exactly faultless for Arsenals goal last week either, but he is a top player and I certinley would'nt be writing him off.

Carra is far better in the middle. He's done a good job when asked to play right bak but no way should it be a permanent move. Carra and another for most games. He will need a rest sometimes though and we should count of ourselves very fortunate we have Agger, Srktel and Hyypia as our other options.
