Yeah nice one Nasa. No chance of consulting the world before casually firing rockets at the sun?

In about seven years time they will be spouting evidence that our sun is showing all the signs of exploding and ending the world. This will all be based on a series of photos over a few months when the sun has been there for billions of years already.

Fuck knows why they feel there is a need to do this, has the world got too much money and all the people in the world have more than enough to eat?

The iron-nickel asteroid 16 Psyche could supply Earth with metals for several million years at current rate of consumption. Estimated worth: $10 Quintillion

Repped for use of a number I thought was made up. It may as well be as they will never get to the asteroid.

Considering an artificial origin, one possibility is that ‘Oumuamua is a lightsail, floating in interstellar space as a debris from an advanced technological equipment (Loeb 2018). Lightsails with similar dimensions have been designed and constructed by our own civilization, including the IKAROS project and the Starshot Initiative2. The lightsail technology might be abundantly used for transportation of cargos between planets (Guillochon & Loeb 2015) or between stars (Lingam & Loeb 2017).

Space Dive

This one-off documentary tells the story of Felix Baumgarter's historic, record-breaking freefall from the edge of space. Felix became the first person to freefall through the sound barrier after jumping from a height of 24 miles. The documentary follows Felix's training under the watchful eye of 82-year-old Colonel Joe Kittinger, the man who set the record when he plunged from a height of 19 miles 50 years ago. Cameras capture Felix as he struggles to overcome a claustrophic reaction to the pressure suit and observe how close he came to disaster during the final stages of the ascent and the jump.
