Mother- excellent Korean crime drama from the same Director as Memories Of Murder- 8/10.

Special - 8/10 An oddball "superhero" film that won't be to everyones taste. Like Clerks meets Kick Ass minus the OTT violence and the comedy is gentler.

 

Timecrimes - 8/10 A very good Spanish time travel yarn that is easier to follow than Primer but still delivers some nice surprises.

Due Date - 6/10. Just felt like a massive missed oppurtunity, given the cast. Danny McBride's cameo was funny, but it was massively hit & miss throughout.

 

Black Swan - 8.5/10. Utterly fucking nuts, but in a very good way.

 

King's Speech - 7/10. a very good film, and I can see why it's getting so much praise, but I don't think it's anything special. Geoffry Rush is fantastic.

Just watched the Social Network, 7.5/10 for me. Great acting by the lead role, but Kings Speech is a better film and should clean up at the oscars easily the best film I've seen for over 5 years.

The Other Guys - Was funny in parts but not hilarious

I spit on your grave 2009 version - a bit long winded but some proper gory moments.The girl is fit as well which helps .

Lock Stock - About the 100th time I have sen it but it is still ace

He just not that into you - Not bad really for a chick flick

Running Scared - Good action film which soem uncomfortable moments. Really enjoyed it

Case 39 - watchable with a great performance by the kid actor

Ghost Town - Horror about some kids who find a ghost cowboy town - Fuckin shite

Animal Kingdom - Aussie Film about a criminal family and relationships. Not quite what I expected. I had great hopes for it and it kind of didn't disappoint because of depth in other areas and a darkness.

 

I'm still processing it tbh. But I know I liked it with out fully thinking it over yet. 9/10

Green Zone. 9/10. Another class film from the director/star pairing of Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon. Ignoring the whole WMD storyline, it's very relevant politically in light of current events.

4th Kind - True story, If you like paranormal activity you will love this, i can't stand them kind of movies (paranormal activity etc...) but did like this.... highly recom 9/10

 

Fairgame - True story, About the US Administration deterimation to return to Iraq, how CIA agent got exposed & thrown to the wolfs - execellent movie 8/10

True Grit - 8/10 - Beautifully filmed, decent story, great acting from Bridges and especially Hailee Steinfeld.

40 year old virgin 9/10. The best comedy of the current generation like Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, steve Carrell etc.

 

The social network 6/10 found it a bit boring and badly structured

The Dark Knight - 10/10. Hadn't watched it all the way through for quite a while. I still love it as much as I did when I first saw it. They've got a job on their hands to top this.

Social Network. 8/10. Took me by surprise this; I expected it to be a bit poo but it's a great job by Fincher and well written by Aaron Sorkin and an awesome score by Trent Reznor. The acting from Eisenberg, Timberlake and especially Andrew Garfield (the new spiderman) is top notch.

True Grit (2011) - 10/10

 

Absolutely outstanding. I can't say enough positive things about this film. Once again the Coens do the job.

 

I really like the Coen brothers work, but I was really let down by True Grit, I found it all a bit boring to be honest, 5/10.

 

Should have gone to the pub instead.

I meant to say about Black Swan - Vincent Cassell blatantly only appeared in it cos he got to finger Natalie Portman, and then dress as a six foot bird monster while boning Kunis.

 

The fucking legend; I like his style.

Black Swan 3/10. I can't believe the hype both the film and Natalie Portman are getting. The acting is blunt at best, the film itself is so bad that not even a hot lesbian scene can rescue it.

 

The Town 6/10. Not bad, not great, drags on a bit in places but largely a decent way to pass a couple of hours if you're stuck for something to do.

The Social Network - 8.5/10

 

Great film. Good script, brilliant performances all round, beautifully filmed and edited, and with a perfect soundtrack. It's just top film making.

 

The Prestige is ace, pretty underrated I reckon. Watch it.

 

It slipped my mind to watch this, and unfortunately it now seems to be off iPlayer. Oh well, it has now gone on the LoveFilm list, should be watched soon.
