We lack that extra quality that the other 3 clubs have remember Chelea v Spurs in the cup and Spurs were the better team but a peice of true quality from Schevchenko won them the game, the problem has been is that quality doesnt come cheap

 

Totally agree - we have the spirit and organisation combined with a sprinkling of top players yet we just lack top quality in two or three areas. Hopefully the summer will see us rectify that.

You're both talking shit. Do you really think that Rafa wants to control the game for the sake of controlling the game, or do you think he wants to do it so that we can win? It's a no brainer.

There was loads of spares outside trhe ground on Saturday, somehow wondered if people had the idea of what was going to happen would.

 

We were awful and the players showed no passion or committment for the game, city was CRAP and we should have taken advantage but we didn't because Rafa played one striker, one striker for a team like that. Kuty has no pace so cannot get passed them, plus he comes back and gets the ball so leaves no-one up front

 

For me though the total lack of conviction was terrible, no rushing to get ball in final minutes to go for the win, Reina taking an eternity to take goal kicks at end, plus loads of fans around me just leaving as they had enough.

 

Please Dave U do not do a match report for this, it was bad enough being there, I do not partcularly want to have to read about it aswell.

I haven't seen any of the game but the radio and newspaper reports were bad enough. It seems as if the players have decided to stop playing in league matches and concentrate on the Champions League. A very dangerous policy. You can't switch form on and off when you feel like and you're more likely to get injured when you aren't fully committed. Rafa needs to tell them that they are playing for their places, otherwise I can see a big disappointment coming when we face Chelsea.
