I’ve seen most of the other top teams play this year, and Spurs is probably the 3rd best in terms of performance so far. I actually think the may sneak 3rd. Hopefully Villa can get 4th, and we pip City to the title.

If Spurs finish above us, we’ve fucked up badly somewhere.

Neville thinks we’ll win the league, he’s just in denial.

Actually, yes, you’re right. The rum I had last night made me wrong.

That has them on 88. 90 should definitely be enough. We’re currently on for 85.

Presuming, we aren't blatantly robbed of a point (or even three) in the second half of the season, we are on course for 86 (88) points.

Says it all about the standing of the clubs involved when he'd rather see abu dhabi win it than us.

Same probably goes for most of their fans too.

Spurs last 11 games:

Chelsea - lost 4-1

Wolves - lost 2-1

Villa - lost 2-1

Man City - drew 3-3

West Ham - lost 2-1

Newcastle - won 4-1

Forest - won 2-2

Everton - won 2-1

Brighton - lost 4-2

Burnley - won 1-0

Man United - drew 2-2

So they have beaten 19th, 17th, 15th and 10th place Newcastle (the worst performing team in the league) since the end of October. But because they played better than his beloved Manchester United, that are 13th in the league for home form, but still only managed a draw, Gary Neville thinks they will pick up approx 45 points in their next 17 league games and finish 2nd in the league behind Manchester City.

He also thinks Arsenal will win the league so plenty of mathematical gymnastics by Nevile Neville's eldest son, in his predictions for this season.

They've had two mediocre fullbacks playing centre back for a lot of games. When they've had close to a full squad, they've been pretty impressive.

It was same at start of season. Tottenham had a really soft set of games in the main and picked up a healthy haul. They played most of the absolute dross.

Once the tougher games kicked in and they weren't benefiting from the worst var fuck up ever they started struggling.

Tottenham don't worry me one little bit.

They were missing two defenders for only 6 of the above games. They had a full choice for 2 of them (lost one, drew one) and were missing just one defender for 3 of them. Romero was out for just of the 6 games, 3 of which were a suspension for being sent off for a stupid challenge. Just because Ange chose to play Davies and Emerson ahead of Bayern Munich's 49 cap England international, Eric Dier at centre back, is his prerogative, but most top teams have been missing at least two defenders for a lot of the season.

If we beat Sheff Utd, something we obviously should do, we will be 8 points ahead of Spurs?

Is Neville smoking crack?

Smoking his own farts, more like. He's a really, really shit pundit who thinks he's far smarter than he actually he is.

Plus, he's a bitter bastard.

I don't really see why Spurs need to be shit on, other than the fact they stole a game from us, but that wasn't their fault.

They're a side that when they've had all their elements, look really on the up. We don't really need to be small time or self conscious about it,  we're on top of the mountain,  at the moment.

And as for Neville saying they can finish above us, well guess what; he's an ex-player who is supposedly very knowledgeable and has been in high level dressing rooms. I'm told he is therefore an immutable expert.

Neville’s bricking it as a league win for us equals that lots & with them utter garbage we could surpass them (if city fuck off) before they’re anywhere near competing again.
