None of the others avoid challenges like Henderson. Our captain doesnt do challenges or tackles.

I agree it’s wrong to single out one player. Most of them have been very poor all season, and the team clearly isn’t working at all.

 

But if you forget social media and watch our matches this season you’ll find that our captain hardly ever makes a challenge. Let alone win a tackle. Look up the stats available, and they’ll confirm it. Fabinho admittedly has been almost as bad, which is also the reason they’ve both been dropped, and rightly so, in favour of an 18 year old and a version of Naby Keita that is very far from his best form.

 

I dont think it’s unreasonable to expect more from the club captain and one of the top earners in the squad.

Just get it won.  Not winning this is out of the question for two reasons -

 

1.  we have to start putting a string of good results together (never mind the performances) and 

2.  we have to stand on their throat while they're down there.
