One shabby, out of time, slightly out of tune (Jesus Christ look at how I pulled the string out on that one chord), skiffle-ised Carey. Three takes and I can't be bothered to get a cleaner version than this.

 

Have to remind you the quick time is kind of deliberate as I originally wanted to try and disguise the song a bit for the works quiz. Although can't say I can play it properly.

 

The end result is a bit of a musical Philly, but it's fun to bash out during a break from calls.

I've always suspected that they recorded it, listened back and thought "nobody's buying that shit; throw some sleighbells on it and cram in the word Christmas - that should do it ".
