A lot of you owe this kid an apology.

Brilliant today. On the balance of every game since he signed? Nope. Been below average.

That criticism shouldn’t be seen as not wanting him to tear up trees.

Every Liverpool fan wants him doing what he did today.

Credit where it’s due- let’s hope we see it game after game

Jurgen, in one of his post-match interviews, was asked about talking to Nunez, and he made a point of saying he still had to rely on Pep to talk to him. It's surely a legitimate point: the guy has to learn the damn language. Great talent, but get yourself sorted out.

FIque perto do último homem. Espere por uma passagem. Marcar um gol.

Easy.

Horses for courses.

I do wish Jurgen was a little bit more flexible, but at this stage, with a fit Diaz, he’s likely to start ahead of Diogo and Darwin, but as we’ve already seen in three games….the rough and tumble ‘premier’ league is no place for the little guy. There is no way Diaz is staying fit this season. Darwin will get plenty of game time.

Steady now.

He needs to do it the next game, and the game after and the game after now, or we're no further on than last season when he had a good game every now and then (especially when everyone was saying pre-match that Newcastle were a good team for him).

Encouraging that he came on and made an impact, needs to get into the starting line up and performing consistently.

He probably won't play the next game or the one after that, klopp pretty much said that after the game. He said he will get his time, but we have to get the rest of the team and formation right first. Which seems pretty obvious to me and I posted similar this week.

Maybe we should be building a system to suit him instead of Trent.

I think the formation we've been working on will ultimately get the best out of him. I think our aim is to ultimately play with a real 9 in this box formation. But we have to learn to do the rest of it first and in the mean time we need more of a false 9 and a player who is good at pressing and happy to drop in to midfield.

This.

It has to be sorted. One of the main reasons Keita didn’t make it at LFC was not learning the language.

The club can easily add language lessons into part of his training. He's got to knuckle down, languages aren't easy for everybody.

Agreed. I've been part of a French family for over a decade and my trench is rudimentary at best. Apps etc do t do anything you need intensive teaching and immersion.

Captain Chaos needs to play. His ceiling is higher than anyone in the team and he needs time to settle in.

He's been here a year and 2 months, at some point the settle needs to happen rather than the excuse he needs time, other players are afforded far less leeway.

Hopefully yesterday was the turning point.
