    Liverpool 0 Manchester United 0 (Jan 17 2021)

Might be bullshit, but that Salah interview infuriates me. I also fear it has influenced his and Trent’s connection down that right side. How about starting the line up of our last successful game, against Palace. Would mean giving Mo a rest, but against Burnley, he’d perhaps be more dangerous as an impact sub.

    Donald Trump

Code as well barely survived a vote of no confidence in his own party. He can also be ... assertive in his tastes. Code or Trump, you decide: Even in elementary school, I was a very assertive, aggressive kid. In the second grade I actually gave a teacher a black eye - I punched my music teacher because I didn't think he knew anything about music and I almost got expelled. I'm not proud of that, but it's clear evidence that even early on I had a tendency to stand up and make my opinions known in a very forceful way."
  3. That Opeth video is probably the best thing I’ve seen in here the last days.
  4. Don’t know who’s been worse, Trent or the referee.
  5. Trent’s been bad. Seems very out of form at the moment. Firmino’s been good, though. Don’t understand the criticism, really. Yes, he had one unfortunate touch, but other than that, he’s pretty much the only one stretching their defence out of shape.
  6. The Go-Betweens absolutely should be there, but hey, they are not Miley Cyrus.

  8. What were the points accused of? Excessively beholden to penalties?
  9. Hamstring on Allison, according to Klopp (Paul Joyce).

    Other football - 2020/21

I used to think that Iheanacho for Leicester missed on purpose against City in the 2018-19 season, but have come to the realization that he’s just really, really shit.
  11. Kate surely is the best artist England’s ever had. Highly original, interesting lyrics and fantastic music. A voice that can convey anything she wants it to. Writes, composes and produces her own music. The Dreaming and Hounds of Love are pretty much impeccable records. One of the few true geniuses of modern music.

What's the most depressing song ever ?

Pretty much the entirety of Lou Reed’s Berlin... will easily ruin everyone’s day.

    Songs that mention other bands

And Nick Cave mentions Miley Cyrus in Higgs Boson Blues.

    Songs that mention other bands

Jonathan Richman mentions Velvet Underground in the song Velvet Underground. Tom Tom Club mentions James Brown in Genius of Love. Paul Simon mentions the Penguins, the Moonglows, the Orioles in Rene and Georgette Magritte with Their Dog after the War.
  15. Well, there’s no accounting for taste, but combine Code’s utter ignorance and misplaced arrogance with his soul deadening taste in music, and you have a less successful scandinavian Patrick Bateman.
  16. Unlike most here, it seems, I like both. Laurie Anderson had an exceptional string of albums in the 80s/90s where she bridged pop, poetry and the avant garde. Of course, I realize that’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but at least it’s original, which is more than can be said of most mentioned here. Lana del Rey’s latest, Norman Fucking Rockwell, is shockingly good, in a Once Upon a Time in Hollywood-way. I’d never bothered listening to her before that, but now I’m actually looking forward to what she does next.
  17. Klopp happy but not happy. Absolutely furious with BT and Sky for the match scheduling.

    Thiago Alcantara

Let’s face it, he’s never going to play for us again.
  19. She does have a wiki page, but I assume you were being obtuse. Apart from being an idiot, of course. Oh, you have not heard of something, must be shit, then.
  20. Cat Power is probably among the most influential artists for female singer-songwriters the last 20 years.
