It might be an irreverent forum. But there are also some absolute cunts posting on it.

Quite a few cunts at the game to be fair. The only difference is that a fan claiming to know the in's and outs of FSG's strategy, pontificating on what the club is doing wrong and what they should do - doesn't quite have the same affect when you can actually see the bloke in question is some scruffy fat cunt with no mates and poor social skills.

You've just described 99% of internet forum users.

So we won, meaning the usual suspects will be out saying everything is fine, we are on the move, Henderson is great, why can’t you just be happy with the win etc., the owners rub their hands and the wheels keep spinning, stuck in place. Ten years and counting....

What does this even mean? We're stuck with the players we have until January,at least and can't do anything much to change it. Team selection is little more than shuffling deckchairs until a change is made to our ownership hierarchy and that will not be happening for a good while yet.

Missed the game and only saw MOTD2 last night,

What was the thinking behind Salah taking a pen ? Not as though he's a clinical finisher or anything, Sturridge on the pitch has been stealing a wage for years could have been asked to do his job and stick the round thing in the netty thing. Even when we get the job done always a few little things with Klopp that make you scratch your head and wonder why was that necessary.

Exactly. Nothing I hate more than a win. Absolute cunts trick from Klipperty. What the fuck is he playing at?

Been said before but it really makes a difference if we score first, even better if it's early in the game. They just grew in confidence and started really playing as soon as Sturridge's goal went in.

Indeed, plenty of us have said it, we look a different team if we take the lead, especially early on in a game, you can literally see the confidence rise and the fluent one touch football return. It's how Klopp wants them to play the game and maybes they feel they are under too much pressure to disappoint when we don't get that fast start, hence the mistakes as players pass the responsibility to others until we fuck up a chance by trying to play the ball into the back of the net. It still baffles me that we don't have a beast of a DM, even though the good ones are hard to come by, when you play the type of game we do it seems the most obvious position to prioritise imo.

It's not that baffling; Klopp's clearly not a big fan of specialists and specialized roles.  There's obviously more of a total football thing going on in his head.

A clever DM could sort out a shit load of problems we have at the back and could even save us a shed load of money. I know the likes of Lovren and Mingolet are pretty shit, but even those two would look a lot better with some solid, clever cover in front of the defence. Look at Chelsea's defence, it is pretty average in all honesty, but they get away with a lot of stuff because of their midfield giving them cover.

I know, I lived through the Rafa years; when funnily enough the argument was the opposite.  "What's the point of Mascherano in a home game..."

Well yeah, but an option to play a player of his quality as a DM (obviously when he was at his best) would be good.

An out and out DM may not be necessary, signing a midfielder with a football brain might be.

Can is off as is probably Coutinho, if he stays with 3 in the middle which I hope he doesn't then it should be Keita and one of Henderson /Wijnaldum with a solid midfielder behind.

Personally I would have neither Henderson or Wijnaldum but then you would be looking at a completely new midfield, unlikely yet probably necessary. Overhaul the defence to Jurgen while you're at it.

Yeah, that's kind of my take, with Klopp's philosophy, it's not so much a DM we need it's a group of players who can concentrate for 90 mins and are willing to go the extra 10% that it takes to win.

Salah has that mindset; Mane too; and from what I've seen, Keita too

Klopp sees it as having two lines of three DM's (Rafa's wet dream, who said you can't have more than 2 DMs) when we lose the ball.  They just need to be a) better and c) concentrate for 90 mins.

Keita deffo has that mindset, the same needs to apply to the defenders too, concentrate from start to finish or bye bye, and that includes Matip who I like. Defenders should be knackered mentally at the end of a game unless it comes natural like Hansen etc.
