Nervy that.

 

Bossed it for 80 minutes, then shit ourselves and continued to leg it round everywhere.

 

A good performance. But, think we need to be better at killing off games, slowing it down. Bit naive in midfield at times. Need an Alonso type to put his foot on the ball, or a Hamann and his legendary shield it and fall down trick to win free kicks.

Bar their goal that was a very pleasing performance. I for one liked the fact we didn't it back and invite more panic and pressure when they scored.

 

Feel bad for Karius. Another game where he's not really had anything to do. Doing nothing for 90% of a match must build a lot of nerves in a young lad who is already receiving stick

 

Next week will be a real difficult game

But how the fuck do we end up hanging on against that ale house shite - who offered fuck all but shithousery until they get a corner - kryptonite to us.

 

Yet more shithousery awaits us next week at Palace, are there any footballing teams in this league?...we'll need to make sure we put away what we create there - as I can't see us not conceeding there due to our weakness from corners.

 

But we won today and plenty of times in recent times we haven't won these sort of games so that is another positive step.

 

Oh and what has happened to penalties for pulling and holding? That yard dog Olssen was blatant today among plenty of other dirty shite, the horrible fucking rat.

He needs an early save in the next game to settle his nerves. Talk of dropping him or him being the worst keeper on the league or signing joe hart to replace him is nonce sense.

Funny. That's what a lot of people were saying about mignolet last season. I wish everyone would stop being so reactionary.

Mignolet was very poor but Karius just has no idea how to deal with a hanging ball .

Its not being reactionary to be horrified about that . We couldn't pick a worse place than Palace  to expose this weakness. Zaha and Townsend are in great form and will throw ball after ball into Benteke, How do you think Karius will get on. ? He had nothing to do tonight and did it badly. Catch one fucking corner, how hard is that.

Indeed, I bet BT sport et all will use words to the affect of hanging on in their post match analysis.
