Copa America

Recommended Posts

I thought Wales and Switzerland were fun to watch!

Ah I only watched the England Russia game then felt kind of depressed, especially with all the other shit surrounding it. Usually prefer the playing style of some of the Copa teams too, but will try to watch at least some other Euro matches (non England ones) before it's done.

Am still a bit gutted after our Europa final I think too, have found watching footie again harder than usual.

Ecuador winning easily, if Peru can beat Brazil then Brazil are out. I await some dodgy refereeing to scupper Peru's chances though.

Ecuador pissed that game, all down to Brazil or Peru to join them in the next round now. Far to tired now to stay awake for that game, even though I really wanted to watch it.

Close...just other way around!  At least Coutinho will be back to preseason training sooner

Reverse psychology with the refereeing Gods.

Good that PC gets a rest but I have a niggling feeling we'll lose him to one of the Spanish teams or PSG after the Euros.

Brazil have sacked Dunga. I don't think they should have got rid of Mano Menezes because he would slowly have brought about the change the national team requires. They've been over-reliant on pace and athleticsm for so long that the style they were once associated with has long gone. Menezes could have overseen the first steps towards change but because his results were mediocre, the CBF panicked because they were worried about losing their lucrative endorsements. Hiring Scolari and then Dunga again has set them back about 5 years.
