Copa America

If Argentina don't win it this year, they really are bottlers. All the other genuine contenders are going through a transitional period whereas Argentina have a more settled squad and real attacking depth.

Six of the top 13 teams in the world are in this competition. I think it's a bit of a stretch to say Argentina are bottlers if they don't win it.

If you are going by the FIFA rankings, they are a complete load of shite. And Argentina have made a habit of so-near-yet-so-far in the last 25 years that the bottlers tag is pretty appropriate.

They clearly aren't "a complete load of shite". They may throw up the odd strange placing, but they're reasonably accurate. Accurate enough to suggest that whilst the "bottlers" tag for Argentina may well be perfectly reasonable, them not winning this one very strong competition is hardly conclusive of anything.

Whoever is about to host a tournament is usually slightly artificially low, and the odd European team that has pissed an easy qualifying group is usually slightly artificially high. However, even if you push the top 13 out to top 20, are you suggesting that any of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Columbia and Ecuador aren't in the top 20 teams in world football?

Virgin Media provided that channel for free for a month during last year's Copa. Are they doing the same again or charging for it this time?

Not sure. Can't see anything on either company's site, so I would expect that last year may have been a one off.
