Nathaniel Clyne

That's the fifth player signed and the transfer window is even open yet. What the hell has happened to our transfer dealings? Is Michael Corelone doing our negotiations now?

6th player. James Milner, Adam Bogdan, Roberto Firmino, Danny Ings and Joe Gomez - 5 done already.

Please someone tell me he can defend. 30 metre run plus a 30 metre shot well wide is getting a bit samey with our full backs.

He can defend, but he can also get caught out of position. The issue is Southampton had the players - and coaching in a formation - to cope with fullbacks getting the wrong side of their opposite number, we don't.

I like him as a player, but I worry that he's going to get a sharp shock, much like Moreno did, when he realises that the safety net of players filling in when he gets forward isn't as robust here.

Happy with this signing. Right-back was definitely a priority position this summer with Johnson leaving, Manquillo likely to do so, Flanagan being a permacrock and Wisdom being a bit shite. There's a paucity of quality right-backs available at the moment. With Danilo and Vidal signing for Real and Barca, Coleman unlikely to come here, Clyne is probably as good as we could have hoped for.

Saw you in my thread earlier, throwing bants around, trying to undermine me. Now I see you're in here, do you want to tell me what the hell that's about?

Fucking balls on that guy, strolling in to your thread throwing bants around and undermining our top scout. Something needs to be done about that pussyo!

I have to disagree with this, I haven't seen him get caught out of position much or any players covering him.

Matt Le Tisser was asked about him and Bertrand a couple of months ago how they go forward so much and still have a good defensive record, he said they both have amazing engines and just get up and down the pitch all game.
