I use Mozilla Firefox, Thunderbird and Sunbird, all free to download, all just as good as their Microsoft counterparts.

 

Also got Open Office, another free download. Highly rated but I haven't had time to get my teeth into yet though mate.

 

Perhaps not the reply you were after, but some good, free alternatives. Hope she gets sorted.
