Last night's Suarez goal had me thinking. It was a league cup game away from home, only on the foreign. By the end of the season it will probably become forgotten even though it was a brilliant goal. I then remembered a goal that Hamann scored. I think it even got goal of the season, yet some of my mates had never seen it/forgot it happened. I then got to thinking there are probably goals I have forgot about myself. Anyone got any obscure brilliant goals they think have been forgotten? eg Redknapp v Vladikavkaz, Fowler v Brann

There's a goal I remember from Steven Gerrard in the World Club Championships in 2005/06 which I don't think I've ever seen since. Having done some quick research on Liverweb, it was against Saprissa in a 3-0 victory, I seem to remember the match being shown on BBC2 over here at about 11 am. It's probably nothing like I recall, but I'm sure it dropped from quite high about 20 yards out and went in off the base of the post.

 

Anybody remember this/find a video?

I remember the game. I worked in the Strand in Bootle at the time & sneaked off to the Hyper Bar on Stanley Road at a ridiculously early hour ( next to useless by the time I got back to work ).

 

I seem to remember that all 3 goals were good un's, Gerrards was brilliant and think Crouchy got a decent one as well.
