Double/single click with mouse button

Sometimes when I click with the left mouse button to open a folder or some file, the pc executes as if I double clicked it. I'm tired of this shit and it's annoying. To agitate me even more, when I click one of the window menu files like: tools, bookmarks, history, etc it opens and closes quickly as if I double clicked it (which I do not do).

I have no viruses, I recently scanned using NOD32. And I hope I'm not hacked.

Any suggestions as to why the mouse clicking is reacting this way? It's never happened before and I've checked the mouse settings to make sure it's not double clicking for a single click.

Thanks.

Buy a new mouse. It sounds like the switch on the left button is fucked.

I have a Razer Copperhead and those aren't cheap!

Have you tried rebooting?

Yup, rebooted.

Give it three kicks and a light slap. Should sort it.

Hahahaha holy shit!!!! Surprisingly, it worked!!!! Maybe there was dirt/dust under the button. Everything is mint now. Thanks!
