  1. Then you deserve the all pain you're feeling, now. Fair enough, if you can get a top class manager in, but why the fuck would Mourinhio come here? Or any other top class manager for that matter. Many of us knew what was coming. You and the "anyone but Benitez" are getting what you wished for. Many of us, didn't ask for this shit and now have to endure it along with the rest of you.
  2. Torres said last year that Xavi Valero coached on how to beat the keeper. He's also said that one of the first things that he learned on signing for us, was passing the ball into the net. If they're not examples of coaching attacking, I don't know what is.
  3. The studios are trying to make money out of it. Apparently Peter Jackson is not happy about it. I have the extended releases on DVD - 4 disks with each one with how they did the filming, cgi, costumes, etc. The extended editions are blended in really well - IIRC the third one has an extra 40 mins of footage. I'd like the full set in BluRay but will wait for the extended edition to be realeased in a year or two.
  4. Anythings possible. But once the media have a hold of it, it puts more pressure on G&H. Too many of our fans have no idea of what's going on; I know that, because I've had the pleasure of educating some of them. Others don't believe the ownership / debt situation has anything to do with our inability to replace injured players, etc. Maybe this will wake a few people up.
  5. Regardless of what happens next, it's inevitable that a shitstorm is about to kick off once all the media outlets get hold of the SOS version of events. IMO, it can only help move things forward.
  6. IIRC Redundancy payments upto £30k are free of tax. My wife just confirmed that - she works in HR.
  7. Buy a new mouse. It sounds like the switch on the left button is fucked.
  8. Honda Accord - pick up a very good 1.8 manual easily with your budget. Older or high mileage 2.0 litre for the same budget. Electric windows, ABS and air conditioning (combined with heating stops yer windows fogging up on rainy days), decent fuel economy. Nothing ever goes wrong with them, so your maintenance costs will be low. Prolly get about a V, W or X reg with reasonable milage for £1500 - Depends on condition. For £1500 you can't go wrong. Alternative might be a Toyota Avensis, but they tend feel worn out and saggy in that price range. Smaller car, look at Toyota Corolla - very reliable. Comes with reliable electrics and will polly have air con as well. And you don't want to be turning up to client site in a Micra. Problem with small cars, is that they can be tiring to drive - engine is normally puny and therefore noisy when on the motorway. Also tend to have less noiseproofing, which contributes to tiredness if you're travelling to client sites. I've used my Accord (on my 6th one) for regularly travelling to clients 4-5 hours away and always feel reasonably fresh when arriving on site. My record was 5 1/2 hours to Hastings on the south coast and 7 1/2 hours to Newcastle when we had really heavy rain a couple of years back when the M1 was closed near Sheffield.
  9. You've given them more than ample opportunity to fix the various issues. You are within your rights to get a refund. Call them back and tell them that the goods are "not fit for purpose", and if they want to piss you about, they can expect a phone call from the Trading tandards Office shortly. Tell them to look up the "Consumer Protection Act 1987" and "Sale of Goods Act 1979" and then ask them to explain their policy to the Trading standards Office. That'll sort the cunts out. PS. Don't forget to actually ring the Trading standards people. PPS And don't forget to contact the cunt's boss to complain, either.
  10. Makes no difference whether you've overpaid or not. Just speak to them. They usually allow upto 6 months. BTW, I'm self employed as well, so I'm feeling the pain too. Luckily my wife has a job so we can manage, but it's bloody hard.
  11. Centre backs need more time to develop though. The reading of the play is critical for these guys. As they learn, they tend to cut back on the reckless challenges (usualy)
  12. Call them up and speak to them. If one of the home owners has been made redundant, they will sometimes allow a payment holiday for a maximum of 6 months or possibly reduced payments while the unpaid amounts are deferred or added to the total balance on the mortgage. Worst thing you can do is "just not pay" for a month or two. It messes with your credit rating and when you want to go for a better deal once the market picks up, you'll be royally screwed because of those missed payments. You could always call them and give them a sob story about unexpected expenses like the car needing major repairs and that's it's essential for your work etc.
  13. At the moment, there's no one good enough. So for the time being, it has to be a case of picking the best of the foreign managers.
  14. Some all powerful, all conquering alien race will probably be along in the next few years and give humanity an ASBO to prevent us from infecting the rest of the universe.
  15. Well, we should get at least 50p and a bag of chips for the loan period. Plus save on the twat's wages.
  16. It didn't work like that in the summer. We stopped paying wages to Alonso, Hyypia, Arbeloa and Pennant, yet the bastard American cunts still took the wage increases for Gerrard, Torres and whoever else, out of Rafa's transfer budget.
  17. Start Edition will come pre-loaded on some netbooks. You can't buy it on it on its own. The most basic version you can buy is Home Premium Edition. the OEM/OEI version which means you get no Microsoft support (hardly worth it) is about £85. The full/retail version is about £115. PM me if you have any other questions.
  18. Professional and Ultimate are almost the same. Home only has certain business related like joining domains, and backup features missing. Since the vaaaaaaassst majority home users don't back up anyway, or even know what backups are. The only difference between Professional and Ultimate is that Ultimate also has bitlocker and you can use 35 languages. 99.999999 don't even know what BitLocker is, and most people can't speak 2 languages. So why are the other ones crap?
  19. Been using the final release for a few weeks courtesy of one of Microsoft's membership schemes: * 32bit running on a Core2 Duo 2.13ghz and 3gb RAM * 64bit Professional running on a Q6600 quad core with 6gb RAM * 64bit Ultimate running on an Core i7 920 with 6gb RAM No issues with 32bit. 64bit: Same as Vista 64bit pretty much. No issues with running software apart from Adobe CS3 not liking 64 bit until you update Acrobat Professional. Occasional driver issues reported - mainly seems to be HP - who a are an utter bunch of cunts at times. I can't get the specific drivers for my LJ2840 Colour Printer/Copier/SCanner/Fax which is networked. So I'm running the Universal Postrscript Driver for printing and have to go via USB to use scanning. For faxing, I just use my 32bit XP Pro laptop - or fax manually from the printer's own physical control panel. My Wacom Intuos3 graphics tablet runs happily as does all my other bits and pieces. All in all, it's been pretty painless - same as Vista in terms of getting things up and running, i.e. only difficulties are from HP on a fairlymodern bit of kit. I'd say, go for it.
