Can't argue with that, but if we can't afford someone like Modric who will probably cost between 15-20m, Aimar would be a good 2nd choice IMO.

True, I'm sure we will have enough to sign a player like Modric, but what I'm trying to say is that if we don't I wouldn't be too upset if we got Aimar instead.

No Aimar please. Too lightweight and he's 29 years old this year so we could just as well bring back Garcia. Total waste of money. I'm all for bringing in experienced player but this one doesn't really have the experience I would be looking for.

Every transfer window since Rafa has arrived this has been mooted and nothing has happened, I think if he ever arrives here it will be on a free as a squad player when his contract expires, I do not think that Rafa will spend any of our potentially limited budget on him.

If you look at Rafa's Transfer's you will see that he buys young players the only time he buys older players above 28 is when he has no real money to spend or they are Bosman's

 

I would Aimar at any age yes he has injuries but he is some player and would bring quality to the team but i wouldnt be paying a fee for him may be a small payment and his wages but no 5m+ fees

 

Lets just wait and see who we kick off next season with as owners nevermind players
