Dave reminiscing about his Halcyon days lifting the Charity Shield at Wembley

How many trophies has Moyes won?
3 - the Scot has been named LMA manager of the year on three occasions, in 2003, 2005 and 2009 during an Everton reign which also brought him 10 manager of the month awards. 1 - he has won just one top-level trophy, the 2013 Community Shield with Manchester United.

Solid that, highlighted by three but two especially lovely goals.

If we could just get a settled side and stop suffering so many injuries then maybe just maybe we can salvage our title.....probably wishful thinking, but at least we look a bit better again this last week.

Big, big test next week....watch it be Salah's turn to be injured.

The lad Phillips is not the answer of course but it beggars belief how we seemed to fancy Williams more, he is head and shoulders ahead of Williams...can only think it was down to the 'playing out from back' thing.

Well in today though.

Very, very well done boys. For a team lots were moaning about when it was announced, they didnt do too bad, did they?

I honestly dont get these people who say our squad isnt good enough. They're entitled to the opinion but i just dont see how you can have all these squaddies who are on a par with Sadio, Mo, Bobby, Hendo, Robbo, Trent, Gini, Alli. Today we've seen Shaq, Nat, Curtis, Origi, Ox and Milner come in and do a job.

Bit disappointed in the end to conceed a goal as I thought the defence played well. Hendo and young Nat did a great job. Yeah, it was only West Ham, the same team whose forwards have given us grief in the past.

Two lovely taken goals by Mo and what a pass from Shaq! Mo showed a lot of skill bringing it down then rolling it into the net. Dont know what went on the touchline between Jurgen and Milner when Curtis came on but all seemed love and kisses when Curtis made the opening for Mo's first. Nice movement including a pass by Ox allowed Gini to roll in the third.

A must win win game and the boys did the business. Puts them in good form for the game against city next week. Hopefully, Sadio will be fit and we've picked up no more injuries.

Its the best squad in the history of the football club. Don't ever listen to the lunatics.
