I've never seen a badger so they are mythological creatures to me whereas I seem to see a hedgehog at least once a week recently until the snow. Probably all asleep now in special hedgehog homes made by posh cunts that used to watch Blue Peter.

You wanna drive through Cheshire, mate. There's loads of them lying on the side of the road there.

In the last couple of years I've been lucky enough to get close to several different badger cubs.  Close enough to have them nibbling the hem of my jeans and pulling on my trainer laces.  The cubs are far more inquisitive than adults, if adults see you or get your scent they're offski.  I've got photos of cubs literally taken from standing right above them.

I read somewhere a while ago that the demise of the hedgehog is down to the fact that hedges are being replaced by fences.  The row of houses I live in now had a row of hedges round the front gardens years ago and there was always loads of the little fuckers.  Out came the hedges, in went fences and as a result I saw my first hedgehog in this street in August just gone for over 25 years.  And nobody would believe me.

Anyway, you know what they say about hedgehogs ?

They're all pricks.
