Got my bird sat here and they just had Eddie Hearn talking on the telly.

 

"He's a right slippery fucker, him. Bet it comes out that he's a paedo or something."

Hearn setting up the huge Wembley fight, then getting booed out of the stadium was one of those sweet moments that life so rarely gives you.

Boxing crowds ain't what they used to be.

Yeah i got the feeling that sky cut the sound link as they crowd would not shut the fuck up.

 

To be fair its not like they were good in the old days either. Unless racial abusing Marvin Hagler and thrwing bottles at him in the ring cause he beat Alan Minter was good

That particular Minter vs Hagler was the first instance of the football hooligan mentality boxing crowd I can ever remember witnessing. Fucking disgraceful and I remember feeling ashamed. Much as I do now when I hear stupid drunken yobs booing the opponents National anthem and egged on by inane brass bands. The 'Noble' from the 'Noble Art' seems, for most part, sadly disappeared.

Before my time really

 

What always stuck with me when the English fans are at sports was going to a England vs Argentina U16 game at Wembley. All the nobheads where getting there kids to boo through the Argentine anthem. Felt disgusted and must have been shit for the young lads on the pitch. Having said that if i remember right the squad included Tevez,Riqueleme,Saviola etc so they did ok
