Dortmund away leg

Recommended Posts

Is it just myself who thinks Sturridge was dropped due to his attitude when being subbed against Spurs?

Klopp went to offer his hand and DS just basically shrugged it off in a petulant manner. He also looked half arsed most of the game.

Reckon Klopp is planning for next season without him, just depends on any half decent offer which may materialise.

I think he was dropped because he isn't able to do the job asked of Origi in this particular game. Think Sturridge may well start against Stoke as it'll be a totally different game, where his superior finishing will be needed.

Better and longer video.

YNWA by LFCmostar

Dortmund are the German equivalent of Liverpool, working man's club, great support and tradition. This rendition of YNWA will stay with me until the day I die. As a Liverpool fan it fills me with pride, as a fan of the sport it shows me that outside the Premier League there is much more class than your average English dumb fuck.

I think he'll start as Klopp rests Origi for the return leg against Dortmund.

It was a great performance. We were really unlucky not to come away with a win and I can't wait to see who Klopp signs this summer. When he builds his team we are going to be a force to be reckoned with.

I was saying the same to my son earlier. If the owners/Board back him Klopp will bring us silverware.

Yes, maybe that too. Home game against Dortmund will not be too different from last night. They'll come out attacking no doubt, and I dont think we have the quality to dominate them either, at least not for more than short spells.

As much as it galls me to say it, I thought you were the best team last night and probably did enough to win it. I thought  regular whipping boys Sakho and Lovren were the best players, with "Welsh Osman" Allen doing well when he came on. Should be an interesting second leg,but as with City, there is still a long way to go against foes who can bang in a couple of goals away from home if necessary.

Hard to argue with this. The only real match winners we have are hot and cold, if he brings in a couple of consistent match winners then we win more matches.

Ever since our decision to boycott the PL title there has been a tendency for Reds to look back, to pine for the good old days. And in doing so it can be easy to forget that the present can be the good old days which we will talk about in the future.

Our EL campaign is a case in point, Man U binned, an excellent score draw against a very good Dortmund side in one of Europe’s very best stadiums – and Switzerland within sight. Enjoy.

What a difference having a decent manager makes! Brendan’s dossier is in landfill, his embarrassing Euro record committed to collective amnesia. Instead, in Klopp, we have a man at home in Europe, who understands it, and knows how integral Euro success is to the DNA of LFC.

Going with the Big O up front was a big call, the ones that top managers are asked to make, and get paid to get right. And didn’t it come off in spades? Origi worked his socks off, scored, and played for the team. Hopefully Danny was taking note.

I have no time for Sturridge. A fine goal scorer when he decides to play, Klopp seems to have got his measure. A player who doesn’t go through the pain barrier for the team, who is not there when he is needed, but appears when a EL final and Euro Championships in France are in sight, is not made of the stuff required at LFC. His attitude was found out at Man City and Chelsea, it hasn’t taken Klopp long to make a similar discovery. Yes he is great when he plays, but pro rata he is on the equivalent of over £300k a week when his no shows are allowed for.

The team were magnificent, all heroes, Klopp handled the occasion with dignity and panache. I can’t wait for the second leg.
