No way, Mick.

No tension during the wire cutting?

He's one miserable bloke is old Buddy, but that's his PTSD-riddled character.

Plot twists?

Anyway, can't agree.  British drama gets far too much stick.

I thought you were being sarcastic there at 1st. I'm with mick. Zero tension for that wire cutting too, all I could think was "hurry up and get on with it". Then that "escape" after. Pathetic. Mick's eastenders comparison is spot on for me.

I thought that Bodyguard was very disappointing. I was expecting far better when I saw Jed Mercurio was the writer as I'm a big fan of Line Of Duty. I thought the acting was woeful from several of the main cast, especially Gina McKee and Richard Madden who just doesn't have a great screen presence. The story was also ludicrous in parts. It was 5 out of 10 from me.

I do agree that some on here are too quick to write off British drama. Watched the first two episodes of Killing Eve and it is brilliant. Great cast, great story, interesting characters, wonderful black humour, just fantastic. Jodie Comer is going to be a star.

Gina McKee was like a walking corpse whose mouth moved every so often.

I think I was the first to mention Killing Eve on here. Although I wouldn't put it anywhere near elite level shows, I did enjoy it. Well, I enjoyed the main character. The rest was lesser. I also dislike Sandra Oh. Bodyguard was okay, 5/10. Tried to be dramatic, some bits were half decent, others pretty shocking.

I would guess he decides for himself after he has watched it. That’s not much help when he is deciding what to watch, though. It’s quite difficult to watch something and then decide not to watch it.

I’m old fashioned, mate. I read the synopsis to help decide whether a programme appeals to me. I  then watch it and decide whether I like it.

To think, there was a time when the only way to know if telly was any good was when you had watched it yourself.
