Hes good but his ability on the ball under pressure needs to improve, in the first few games I was putting it down to the pressure of being at a new club under the spotlight but it is looking as though he is just poor in this area.

 

Also didn't realise until today how slow he is but his shot stopping is very good and in happy with him.

Prefer having a great shot stopper who's poor on the ball, then vice versa.  Great today, never deserved to be picking the ball out of the net three times.  Give him far too much to do for my liking

His passing and footwork definitely need improvement but I reckon that's a lot eaiser to work on than the core skills like shot-stopping and positioning where he's generally excellent.

 

For me, he's doing the basics infinitely better than Reina did over his last few seasons with us.

was m.o.t.m today without a doubt but really needs to sort his kicking out. their first goal came from his "no pressure clearance" which went for a throw, then a free kick seconds later..

He's been brilliant, its getting to the point when your surprised when he's does'unt save a shot he's that good. Like Lukaka's first today he got his finger tips to it when he had no right to. I'd say he saved around 7 point already this season.

Anyone moaning about Simon is either a Space Cadet or has an agenda. He's boss. Someone said above - it's surprising when he doesn't make the save. I agree and we have the real deal here.

Yeah, definitely has the ability to improve on top of his already very good performances. His shot stopping is clearly top draw. It's got a faint whiff of Schmeichel about it.
