It's the Rainbow Laces campaign gesture this weekend. (I'm a little sceptical as to how effective stuff like this is likely to be, given the state of the shitbags running the sport.)

Over on Facebook, the club have temporarily changed their profile picture to this.

It's mad to see the number of people up in arms about it; some pretending that it's an act of desecration, some coming out with the disingenuous bullshit about "bringing politics into sport".

Liverpoof fc?

I honestly don't understand why anyone would be arsed about who someone else fancies or wants to be with. We all have one life so do what makes you happy.

This day in age there really shouldn't be labels as gay, straight ect.  You fancy who you fancy and no one should judge or tell that person they are wrong for doing so.

I like woman and thats my preference and its none of my business what other people are into.

People shouldn't feel they need to have to "Come out"

I think it's probably a generational thing.

I remember a lad who played scullys transvestite brother getting hounded out of our school because people thought he was gay.

The younger generations are infinitely more open minded.

It shouldn’t really be news, although I get why it is so good on the lad for his courage. I wish him well.

A combination of these two posts.

Rumours Gueye who used play for Everton refused play at the weekend as they wanted him wear a rainbow number to support lgbt stuff

Some people on Twitter have been defending him, saying it's because of his religion (y'know, the way religion makes bigotry alright). Other people have pointed out that he was a bit less devout when he was advertising beer and gambling on his Everton shirts.
