Henderson, Enrique, Suarez, Sterling, Johnson all played well. Downing, Gerrard not so.

Blunter than a nippleless boob. Don't know what to make of that half. We seem pedestrian at times, we lack desire. If we want this enough we can win it easily. The midfield needs to support Suarez more.

I think we probably just shaded it, having the better chances. We need to sort out some effort, though. I'd take downing off and stick on Shelvey, with Enrique going to left back.

I thought Henderson was alright. Allen has all but disappeared and Downing... well, we might as well be playing with 10. Enrique is definitely a threat, but not sure that Gerrard is up to the pace of the game yet. Can't believe the 45 mins has gone by already.

Allen is not really influencing the MF like he did earlier in the season.

Like someone else posted, Gerrard is protecting his groin. I can't remember the last time I saw him run at full pelt. Same with giving it all in a shot at goal.

I would take Downing and Gerrard off. Henderson has grown into the game. Think it would be unfair to take him off.

 

Gerrard ia strolling around as if he can't be arsed which has been similar to he majority of his season so far.

Frustrating , should be winning this , Enrique and Johnson our main goal threats so far which is a bit strange , we need a goal threat/creator in the middle of the park.

Not many Swans fans get this "Allen's being played out of position" - What you're seeing from Joey so far is very much "his game". He's as neat and tidy as they come, just forget about him in any sort of creating role. Sadly for Joe, and us last season, when he was tried further up the field we looked even more toothless than usual. He just doesn't have a final ball and no technique for a shot. Wha he will do all day though, is fetch the ball from your defence and keep it simple in and around that area and for a little lad, he'll put himself about enough.

Yeah i've spoken to a few who don't get it, but the fact is when he played for you he played slightly further up than he is doing now. We need someone neat and tidy further up the pitch.

 

I saw glimpses of him in the Olympics further up the pitch, and a comfortable passer of the ball can be as valuable up there as a flamboyant creative spark.

 

Ideally you need both and when Allen moves forward he'll be one. As for the creative spark only Suso for me has shown this, and we can't rely on him for that yet.

I'm no fan of Henderson, but he's easily been the pick of our midfielders. Just by running about a bit. Which admittedly says more about Allen and Gerrard than it does Henderson.
