For those who may be staying awake into the wee hours, I urge you to get on BBC2 at 01:35AM. Adam & Paul, a tragi-comedy about two Dublin junkies fighting to survive. Ironic timing on the scheduling, given the death of Winehouse.

 

As I wrote in the film thread, this is both hilariously funny and desperately sad. Superbly acted by Mark O'Halloran and Tom Murphy. Tom was a Tony Award - Best Actor winner in 1998 for his part in the Broadway production of The Beauty Queen of Leenane. He died in 2007 at the age of 39 from MRSA he contracted in a hospital after what had been successful treatment for lymphatic cancer.

 

I've never seen it on TV before. Don't say you weren't warned.
