Lucas one of the best performanceses he has had in ages was key today.

Nice for this to be tricky for the right reasons. Plenty to chose from but I will go with:

 

1. Carragher - An absolute rock.

2. Lucas - Popped up all over the place. Should have had more than 1 assist as he made some excellent passes.

3. Benayoun - I just love him. His guile, close control and quick feet are a joy to watch.

 

As I said, this was tricky. Torres deserved a spot purely for the way he took the goal. Utterly world class. Agger was excellent. Mascherano was back to his best. Aurelio did well on the left. Johnson put in a fine performance.

 

Man, that was good.
