What the fuck happened to the runaway leaders Hoffenheim?

 

Their striker Ibesivic got injured around xmas. He had a ridiculous record of like 19 goals in 18 games, they signed Sanogo on loan from Hamburg. Hamburg kicked on without Sanogo, it's all his fault.

Fell away after christmas, teams learned how to deal with them. Ended up somewhere in midtable I believe.

 

Nah, rather they lost 2 of their key players, including Bundesliga leading goal scorer Ibisevic for the season in a winter break friendly against HSV. They lost steam and momentum and their season came to a sputtering end.

Crowned champions today with a 5-1 victory over Werder Bremen.

 

Their front two Edin Dzeko and Grafite got 54 league goals between them.

 

Their first ever title.

 

Fair play to them.

 

A friend of mine made a small fortune on Grafite today, had him as top scorer in the Bundesliga at 50/1 at one bookie and 40/1 at another. Some guy on a betting website in Norway backed Grafite and a lot of others followed, pure Christmas for all involved. As I didn't have money at said bookies I declined the bet (think he was about half the price most other bookies). Not a happy man today:wallbutt: How often do you bank 25/1 bets?
