Daft Casting Decisions

Just half-watching Enemy of the State now on some ITV-whateverthefuck channel, never seen it before.

Not the worst film I've seen this year, but the stupidity of having Will Smith as the central lead character is glaring. I like Smith and he's a good comedy actor, but he's never in a million years a high-powered lawyer.

Any others?

Spacey might enjoy that.

Just thought Id add that my mates were inter-railing this summer, met Spacey in a club in Prague I think, ended up partying all night with him, they thought he was a really nice guy, went back to a houseparty with him and then he tried to have his nasty way with one of them. My mates' greatest claim to fame now is that his no. is in Spacey's phonebook.*

The Lesson learned; don't trust people that go walking dogs around London at 5 bells in the morning no matter how gay and jovial they might seem.

No issue with Smith in Enemy of the state; think it's a pretty decent bit of casting actually as it's entirely convincing. One I remember laughing my tits off was finding out that Smith was going to be Ali. Man, did I get that call wrong.

The two guys playing the leads in When we were kings were a bit shit though; both of them were well over the top.
