  1. Im over here at the minute, about an hour south of Seoul teaching English for the year. I only arrived on Sunday. Anyone else do anything similar? It seems pretty dry at the minute, only got here Sunday so haven't been exposed to any depravity or suchlike that I was hoping would be in abundance here.
  2. Yeah, some dirty woman tried to do it to my mate on Saturday night there. It must be the "in" thing of 2010.
  3. Fair enough if it's in jest. I just think people that use it as an excuse to denigrate him are talking through their arse.
  4. I have no problem with people criticising the Pope but why do people keep reverting to this lazy infantile emotive point? Surely you can come up with something more relevant to slander him with. He was part of the Hitler Youth as a 14 year old when it became mandotory and even deserted the German army when he was conscripted risking death in the process. I don't think his adolescent wartime experiences have much relevance to how he leads the Catholic Church today.
  5. Am I the only one that thinks it's a tad odd for an 8 year old to be looking that up in the net? It's certainly funny and I wouldn't be too concerned about it if was my offspring but surely you can understand why a conservative C of E school might feel the need to report the incident. I would probably just feign concern and promise to lecture them on the importance of safety on the 'net. Surely most parents would be more concerned if it wasn't brought to their attention? I do agree with you though that it is none of their business on how you intend to discipline him.
  6. My advice would be not to bother. I don't mean to sound negative but im just speaking from my own experience. I did History and Politics at Liverpool University. I think your safer off doing something more practical; I would suggest doing a course that actually qualifies you for a career when your finished. Think of the number of history/arts/sociology/politics etc. graduates you will be competing with when you come out of university for a limited pool of desirable jobs. The Labour obsession with getting 50% of school leavers into university has had the effect of diluting severely the value and prestige of such degrees. A history degree today and certainly in four years time is not worth near as much as it was 15 years ago. It's all about learning new skills and making yourself stand out in a competitive job market. A history degree doesn't teach you enough quantifiable skills and offer you enough of a reasonable prospect of a decent job to make it worth getting yourself into thousands of pounds of debt. Do you really want to take the risk of such debt and end up in a crappy admin/call-centre job for a few years whilst you figure out what qualification you really need for the job you desire? That's just my experience though. Im heading to Korea in two weeks because of the dearth of jobs in both Ireland and the UK at the minute.
  7. How and why do you know that? Are you some sort of dinnermasher?
  8. I like this part. As long as those sexual deviant ducks get punished, Im in.
  9. Well, they fucken should be subject to the full rigour of the law in that case. No wonder duck rape is on the rampage with that bizarre anomaly in the law. Im writing a letter to the Daily Mail to express my outrage right now.
  10. Not strictly true. Im pretty sure male ducks rape female ducks. My girlfriend does zoology and told me as much. I even witnessed it with my own eyes; two male ducks pursuing a female duck around a lake; the poor wee duck couldn't shirk their advances at all; I didn't see how the whole thing climaxed but Id say the duck eventually got fucked.
  11. No need to be a smartarse; I didn't cast any judgement on him or that action. Im just making the point that he's generally percieved to have a suspicious shady past; I just mentioned the first obvious incident that came to mind to illustrate the point. Im sure I could have maybe picked a better incident if I had been arsed googling him. As for the Paisley one; he's either already resigned as a MP or I imagine he won't be contesting the North Antrim seat again this year but I could be wrong about this.
  12. Up until last week I would have said Irish Robinson (she's resigned as a MP from last week). You could also nominate Gerry Adams or Peter Robinson. George Galloway as Strontium says has a very dodgy shady histroy. He's had meetings with Saddam Hussein I believe. Maybe he would be your best bet.
  13. Ha, I lived somewhere near that; it was College Avenue anyhow in '07. There was a Turkish guy called Zulu who owned the house we lived in. I think our house was fined something ridiculous like 10 grand for having parties by the end of the summer which of course was never paid. Do you know a little shop run by a couple of guys from Nepal? They used to sort us out with 40's at all hours.
  14. Clottey is hardly a no-mark. He had a war with Cotto a few months ago and gave a very good account of himself but judging by Pacquaio's demolition of Cotto; it still looks like he doesn't stand much of a chance. Surely there would be more interest in another re-match against Marquez; it's been proven that he has the style to at worst at be competitive with Pacquaio and most critics think that Pacquaio wrongly got the decision in their last fight. What about Paul Williams although Im thinking he's over 6 foot so he could finally be giving away too much if they fought.
  15. Was in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria this summer and it was our first night there; drank myself silly, wallet stolen from lady of the night, wandering streets like a drunken lunatic on my own; our apartment was 10 miles away and I had no idea how to get there or money for a taxi. Don't have a clue exactly what I got up to but from the few tid bits of what I remember; wallet and mobile stole by lady of the night; attacked by group of Dutch people, following a Russian couple around trying to get them to let me stay in their hotel; then ended up with a bunch of Bulgarian teens sniffing poppers (which the lady of the night had kindly let me keep) at around 6 in the morning. I remember running around housing estates and hotel complexes wildly trying to find my hotel only to keep running into the Bulgarians who hadn't a word of English and hitting the poppers again. Poppers really are the universal language of love. i eventually made it back at around 8 O clock, I was that twisted drunk that I couldn't recognise my mate sleeping on the bed. I thought I was there on my own and started to bark at the wall like a dog before collapsing. Great start to the holiday; the holiday continued on like that in a similar vain for the next six days.
