The way he got the leadership last time was by using Brexit as a vehicle to get himself in. he's now using the war in the same way. 

 

The Tories being absolutely trounced at the next election would be ideal for Johnson personally. The only problem he will have is if he loses his own seat.

The news the other day mentioned the Commission for Standards in Public Life and it struck me as quaint: I remembered that there was a time (not that long ago) that people elected to high office were expected not to lie or steal, or bully, abuse or sexually assault anyone.
