Agreed that Aurelio is underrated, although accusations that he is made of balsa wood are hard to deny. Kuyt has come in for some dreadful stick this season from certain quarters but has delivered when it counts in Europe.

The thing is most fans rate Kuyt (for his workrate), it never goes unmentioned. Where as Aurelio never really gets a mention for his abilty on the ball and his passing from the back. It's no coincidence that when he went off tonight our ball retention suffered.

I agree that Aurelio is excellent on the ball. To be fair I thought Riise did well supporting the attack and also defensively until that last intervention. I wasn't concerned at all as I thought everyone was coping well. Mascherano and Alonso were screening the back four brilliantly in the second half.

If he had a decent first touch rather than the touch of a rapist he would be boss.

His first touch is pretty good, as he proved again tonight. Because hes not as mobile as say someone like benayoun for example, its means he struggles when a more difficult ball comes towards him that most players would struggle to control.

Inter Milan - GOAL

Arsenal - GOAL

Chelsea - GOAL

Works his arse off for the rest of the time.

Not fucking good enough? Nah.

I'd make a list of the teams Torres has scored against if i could be arsed. Im not saying he isn't a good player - im saying he's not good enough and he wont bring us the title. Goals mainly- He's a striker. If your gonna make an argument that he's been playing out of position for a few months - then look up how many Babel has scored this season.

I'd love to see us get a great right-sided midfielder/ attacker but, if we did, Rafa would probably play Dirk on the left; and he'd probably not complain and would work his bollocks off again. He's not class but he is a true Liverpool player - I've seen much lesser players called 'legs' on this forum.
