For The Love Of Spock. Documentary movie detailing the career of Leonard Limoy put together by his son. Absolutely brilliant and so informative. 8.6184/10.

Red Dog: True Blue 6.5/10

Australian Comedy/Coming of age drama about a boy and his dog named Blue, who's actually red. Solid family entertainment and the soundtrack is pretty cool.

The first mission impossible makes the cruise list for me. Solid bit of de Palma, full of the slick, confident nonsense of the TV series.

It's a brilliant film and comfortably one of his most entertaining. I'm just not so sure it showcases Cruise as an actor. I left off the action movie where he dies and comes back repeatedly for the same reason. I thouroughly enjoy his action movies but his skills as an actor tend to shine elsewhere.

I’ve said this before. It was the closest to the TV series. Everything else has been a generic action movie with the odd standout bit that harkened back to the TV series here and there - I’m thinking about the Vatican heist in III and the bit in Rogue Nation where they trap Solomon Lane.

I didn't realise after Star Trek, Leonard Nimoy was in Mission: Impossible.

He served his time for a bit, as did Martin Landau who went on to Space 1999.

If we were supposed to see a woman turn into a monster just by looking into her eyes by 1999, it's already 21 years late. Or am I imagining that?

The Lincoln Lawyer- 7/10. Decent enough courtroom thriller with Matthew McConnaghy as a wide-boy lawyer who gets framed by his own client. Some good actors in there including Bryan Cranston, William H Macy and Marisa Tomei, and McConnaghy is good enough to make you suspend disbelief at the twists.

The book is good. A John Grisham novel.
