What the fuck is going on? Less than Spurs?! And how stupid is Moores/Parry if they agree to somethin like that when they know a takeover is imminent? Amateurs.

 

the takeover might not have been able to come into it - with deadlines for adidas etc and the takeover won't be complete for another month. but we've had 2 years to sort this out properly. the only thing i can think of is we had something coming through off DIC (can't imagine they wanted carlsberg) and when they dropped out, so did the deal? i dunno, i just know this is shit.

Agreed 100%,we need to start playing hard-ball and not be fucking about because we like to be percieved as a nice family club.We should get what we are worth which is a hell of a lot more than Spurs and say Chelsea aswell for whats it worth.

Didnt Chelsea buy themselves out of a sponsorship contract they had so cos they knew that they could get more cash elsewhere.

 

If those figures are true thats shite but i cant see the new owners agreeing to it unless there was no way out of it.

why are carlsberg taking the piss? they should do their best to get deals as cheap as possible. that's their job. clearly we didn't find anyone else who were willing to cough up more. this price is down to parry.

The current deal is only worth £2.5m a year! Fuck me that was negotiated weeks after becoming European Champions. Along with the shirts fuck up that cost us £7m from Reebok it brings into sharp focus the total incompetence of our commercial side. All that money wasted, imagine the players we could of bought with all that extra revenue. Not sure about these yanks but I hope they put a rocket up the Clubs arse and get us punching our fucking weight off the pitch as well as on.

it was signed before the champions league final. it was a last minute deal as we'd done a big deal with LG, who then dropped us at the last minute. i think it was a that or nobody situation.

£2.5M a year is fucking peanuts. I'd rather have gone without for 2 years.

 

You can see why the Yanks bought us when stuff like this is going on. We are being massively undersold.

Fair enough about the timing but even so Champions League finalists (therefore potential winners) scrabbling around for last minute deals is a very poor show. And now £1.3m a season less than Spurs? surely the £8.5m a year they`ll make should`ve been the minimum benchmark.

Unicef pay nothing but they signed a deal with Acer the PC makers last week worth millions to basically sponsor the whole club.Acer will probably end up on there tops before too long.
