The weather can’t be worse than it was for the league cup game

They only got a look-in in that game because of the weather. We need to dig deep the next week or so and get some players back. City have no one on international duty and only a few injured in their big squad.

I wonder if given how dangerous Alex Scott’s set pieces were in the League Cup game and the incoming shite weather, if we’ll go for a few of our taller / better in the air players today?

In November, Alisson, VVD & Konate didn’t start and Gravenberch, Nunez & Jota came off the bench. I wonder if we’ll start them all today?

Assuming he takes them, I hope Mac Allisters corners / set pieces are significantly better than they were v Fulham.

A small concern ahead of Fulham - I doubt we’ll be flying back tonight.

Not a bad (outfield) team made up of unavailable players:

Trent Matip Robertson Tsimikas
Bajcetic Endo Thiago
Szoboszlai Salah Doak.

50/50 shout between Elliott and Gravenberch and Klopp may go for the taller player, given the set-piece problems they gave us in the league cup, but I'd play Elliott. I can't see him starting Gakpo in midfield as it would leave us with very little on the bench to change it, if required.

Allisson

Bradley Konate VVD Gomez

Elliott MacAllister Jones

Diaz Nunez Jota

Subs: Kelleher, Quansah, Beck, Gravenberch, Gakpo, 4x kids

Exactly what I'd have gone for. Big game for Bradley!
