Crouch thinks you can tell it wasn’t a yellow as no liverpool player appealed. If they did it would have been an instant booking for them.

Go and do your little dance on another advert for a bag of cash you cock knocker.

I mean, its clearly a debatable one. Loads of refs would have given Ayew one last chance.

Upon review, that penalty is soft as fuck

Had they not chalked off their first half pen no way would they be going back after 5 mins to give the one they scored.

Two half pens =  a full pen in VAR world.  Why dont they just play 90 minutes uninterrupted and VAR can just tell what the score was at the end of the game

I’d like to make this offer to Susanna Reid. I know you’re a Palace supporter, and may be feeling a tad upset and vulnerable just now, but I am here for you and will offer you all the support and comfort you need and more. DM me.

Good result - awful performance.

The yellows for ayew were both ones that might or might not have been given. Lucky they were as without them we were fucked.

We need to improve fast if we want to keep on track for where we are

It’s a cowardly way to play when you’re at home. Drives me crazy how it keeps being depicted as impressive. Hughes is basically just shoving every opponent over, with impunity.

Yes and yes.

All their players built up momentum and ran into players, like all shite teams do, it's allowed by refs as a way of making the game even.  Which isn't their fucking job.  Quelle surprise, the commentators criticise him for doing his actual job and would rather see Palace keep cheating.

The PL COULD BE a very good technical league if the refs actually followed the rules more.

Most people don't seem to want that.

TNT Sport are worse than Sky for trying to drum up controversy in our games. The second yellow for Ayew was pretty similar to the Konate foul in the derby when he was on a yellow. TNT spent the rest of the derby endlessly whining about how Konate should have been off, yet today it's apparently the greatest injustice in the history of football that a second yellow was shown.

Really poor from us for 75 minutes. No tempo, constant misplaced passes, players regularly thinking they had more time than they did on the ball and then losing it as a result, lots of needless fouls, and seemingly second to every 50-50 ball. I doubt we'd have turned it around without the red card as it was starting to feel like one of those days where we could play all weekend and not score. It's just one of those games you can be grateful for somehow winning and quickly move on from.

The officials again using VAR for something it was never intended to be used for. Maybe it was a penalty but the ref saw it and didn't give it, and if you're then having to spend nearly 2 minutes reviewing it then it simply wasn't clear and obvious.

Two brilliant saves from Alisson. The one in the first half was absolutely incredible. I don't think a single other keeper in the league saves that. And then he preserved the win with the save at the end. I think it may have been offside anyway, but you obviously don't want to be relying on small margins (or the clowns on VAR actually judging them correctly).

3 games in a week we were expected to win. We weren't very good in any of them. It would have been nice if the performances had been better and the wins had been more convincing; however, we've come through them unscathed and have gone to the top of the league, if only for a few hours. Hopefully Villa can do something against Arsenal later to keep us there.
