Going to be a long week having to worry bout Brighton. I agree. When he comes on and you see how slow he is on the ball you realise how damn good our front three usually is and how difficult the stuff they make look easy actually is. He's nowhere near good enough.

We looked jaded as fuck and Chelsea alehoused us and relied on Hazard and a big lump up front.

 

Solanke and Ings as options off the bench are of no help at all.

Its a good thing we have a week to reset and recharge now. A good job on sunday and its CL football again next season.

Very poor performance. Think only Mane comes out of that with any credit. Appalling crosses by Trent all game. Gini slowing everything down and Bobby looking like he just wanted to set Mo up to score instead of trying to really create a chance. Kept trying those flicks when it was clear none of them were coming off.

 

Not sure whether it is Mos frustration but not liking him chucking himself to the ground. Chelsea happy to conceed ground and possession to us up to the half way line and it worked a treat because we either played shit balls to no one or ran down blind alleys.

Yes.. Salah managed to miscontrol the ball every single time. Firmino was just shite, never in their box. Solanke was more of a threat than him and that’s saying something.

Milner the only positive today.  He's a machine. Mane did ok, but the other two at the front were hopeless - Salah didn't see the ball, and Firmino in one of his all too frequent fuckwit games making bad decision after bad decision.  Henderson coming on made the heart sink when we needed bravery and commitment going forward.
