Average players you REALLY wanted us to sign....

My dad was obsessed with us signing Julian Joachim from Leicester

When Joachim was at Leicester, I wouldn't have mind us signing him either. He was very average in the Premier League but way too good for Division 1 (as it was back in those days).

Fucking hell. Do you think he read this and decided he had a point to prove?

Winston Reid had the kind of performance that caught my eye too. The 2 lads done me proud.

To keep the run going I also like Choppa Motting and Butland from Stoke and Long and Bertrand at Southampton.

My claim to fame is Junior Hoilett. I always thought that there was a really good player there. At the time, i wanted to see more players run with the ball and i thought that he would come in and help us back to glory!

Would've been brilliant for me to see a Canadian play for LFC. That said, would've been awful to watch him fail as well.

Djimi Traore won a fair few trophies but he's deffo average.

I think it's fair to say that Chelsea probably would have managed to win them titles without Duff.

Duff was top notch for 3-4 years. Never average.

We would have won the league if we had signed him

Cast your mind back to that August night in 2014. The frustration of the weeks before, missing out on Alexis Sanchez. The terror of Lambert or Borini leading the line. The agony of rejection. The ecstasy of seeing Balotelli's little head popping out of the car. The bright red moon shoes. The belief in Rodgers that he knew what he was doing.

Come on, you know you wanted it. I'm not the only one, am I?
