I think Klopp has done a phenomenal job with the players he has at his disposal. Not too many managers would have qualified for the Champions League in the Premier League with the relatively lackluster squad we've got.

That said, the work he's done to build the squad has been pretty appalling. For the most part, our targets have been impossible to get or very unimaginative. He and the transfer committee need to step it up.

It's not about 2 games into a season.

He's not addressed the goalkeeper, defence or midfield in 2 years. 4th transfer window on his watch is about to close and still glaring holes in our squad.

We have no depth in terms of quality. He's built a team like a man building a house of cards. One or 2 cards missing it all falls fucking down. Most of our players are very injury prone and get injured for months at a time.

Look at the left back situation for example.

Milner was first choice left back all of last season. Moreno quite rightly couldn't get a look in and was supposed to being fucked off this summer.

We buy Robertson who's disappeared off the face of the earth seemingly.

Moreno is now first choice left back. Milner is now a sub, but is now being used in midfield.

How can you not be concerned about any of this?

Change some of the players names/positions. Change the managers name.

And that could be written about every manager since FSG took over.

There is a common link and it stands out a mile.

Firstly I'm no fan of FSG.

Every manager since Rafa has bought average player after player.

Klopp is no different. Only success has been Mane.

So when you keep adding average players to a group of average players, how are we going to improve?

How many of our back five and midfield would get into any of our rival starting XI's?

Big fat fucking zero.

Who are our rivals these days? Not exactly crystal clear.  Our net spend, for the past 3 years, is about 120m less than Arsenal, and about 250m less than United/City.

Spurs are spendthrifts, too, and Chelsea have rigged the system by owning every player in Europe.

I rate Matip personally, and Wijnaldum is decent even though we grossly overpaid for him. Is TAA counted as a Klopp success?
