if nothing was signed then why would we be putting payments into accounts?

It was obviously a demand, He wasnt having it no matter what my guess is we did it to force his hand but it backfired. If they have 15 million of the clubs money you can bet your arse this club is working quietly over it to get it back or force the transfer.

I know we've signed some bad'uns in the not so distant past but the antics by this current bunch is downright pathetic. Got no deals done so now briefing the Echo that Dniprio have got £15m of the clubs money? Well let's hope its true otherwise its a tad libellous and we are already tight with the money.

Sorry. I didn't mean an explanation about this actual deal. I just mean a message to reassure the fans or at least assume accountability for what happened and what we are going to do moving forward.

You just want another letter from Henry that you can bitch and moan about. What's the point when you're bitching and moaning anyway?

Every club signs duff players sometimes. Why do we always focus on this kind of argument?

We are lucky in some respects as the teams around us battling for that 4th spot didn't really improve their squad either. Spurs signed no one of note, Everton didn't, the Mancs signed a player that isn't really going to help them not concede goals. Hell, even Arsenal (who I still think we have a chance of catching for 3rd, despite today) didn't sign anyone who wasn't injured.

I guess we're focusing on the negative because it was a poor transfer window on the back of an unconvincing summer window.  We signed nobody, the mancs signed Juan Mata.  I'd like to put a positive slant on it but I can't. It was a shambles.
