I'd take him for a reasonable price. Have we been linked with him recently? Nothing suggest that we would be in for him. But if we were interested, Swansea would probably put a high asking price for him.

My initial thought when the Armenian turned us down was 'Michu would be perfect' but I actually don't know if he could play behind a front three and I don't think he would be as effective out wide, so I dunno any more.

 

If we lose Suarez, maybe, but even then, I'd want to replace a world class player with one of similar talents (or at least potential), not a very good player who may or may not have another great season.

Good player, but he'd cost a bomb and Sturridge has done enough to warrant a good run at the central position.

I rate him. He reminds me of a young Berbatov (when he used to actually run on the pitch) but Swansea think he is the best thing since discovering sheeps arse-holes were tight so they would stick a ridiculous price-tag on him i'd imagine , way over what he is worth.

 

They have got a good team at the minute and have made a few decent signings so can't see them derailing that progress by selling their star man. Also, it would piss Laudrup off and I doubt they want that at the moment.

 

Sounds daft though but unless Suarez goes, we don't actually need him and the money could be better spent elsewhere on the pitch.

He is a talented player no doubt, but I just wonder of his creativity.

 

With 18 goals and 2 assists, I do not see him as a substitute for Suarez, but he is a good striker.

Depends on the price. He tailed off badly about 2/3 of the season in, didn't he? Before then, everything he threw at the goal seemed to go in - a bit like Sisse 2 seasons back.

He's a good player but we're too late with him. Swansea will want silly money - probably more than he's worth - so I don't think it'll happen.

 

We should have got him when he left Rayo, but then again so should everybody.

Fuck that shit, I'd like to think we'd learnt our lesson not to pay massively over the odds on a player based on a single season of good form after the Carroll, Downing, Henderson and Adam debacles.

 

There's no value in those sorts of signings, he had 10 years to suggest he was a £2m player and then 1 season to suggest he's a £20m one. His price would be based on his current form and he'd have to maintain that career-best level of performance to even justify what we'd have to pay. If he proves to be another Zaki, Ricketts, Jones, Carroll, Adam, Chimbonda (insert the name of a thousand other shit players who have had great seasons) we'd have fucked ourselves yet again.

 

I'd rather sign a player who's just had the worst season of his life than the best, at least there's a chance of us getting good value for money with that.
