The problem is that they signed a very average player in Torres when they needed someone to really liven up their midfield, a suplier, someone with creativity. Don't get me wrong, Torres was an excellent striker from 07 to 09 in particular, when he's off, he's off and 'it' doesn't look like coming back for him. The present day Torres will still chip in with a few goals if your team is set up to revolve around him, but he's always been one dimensional and as a result the current diminished version is, at best, a very average footballer.

 

They should've picked up Suarez instead and then used the rest of the money for a suplier (6)
