Torres is living in the shadow of N'gog at the moment.

Can't understand what is wrong with Torres. In terms of ability N'Gog is not on his level, but he is doing all the things that Torres isn't - showing for the ball, making it stick, trying to make things happen, looking to spin off defenders. Torres should be having a field day against the likes of Sol Campbell but once again today he just hasn't showed up.

Superb first half performance from Raul, hope to see more of that throughout the rest of the season. Aside from that we have been abysmal. Poor from Torres again but he has been massively outshitted by Dirk. Appalling performance, breaking up any small amount of attacking momentum and his inability to control the ball all on show in the first 45. Roy needs to change things at half time if we are to win this.

Agree with this. Don't know if his heart or his head isn't in it, but something is wrong somewhere.

Another day, another crappy away performance

- we are using our forwards like wingers, because we refuse to actually pick wingers. Kuyt again AWOL on the far post when crosses come in

- Torres is usually dodgy with his first touches and one-touch passing, and doubly so today.

- Ngog looks the most composed on the ball of anyone in the team, but still lacks an eye for a killer pass, and can't really beat people on the dribble

- Newcastle goal was offside, commentators just sort of brush it off; Maxi gets fouled near the end, and it's like "Oh, it was the barest of touches..."

- Kyriagkos getting hammered by the ref for climbing on the back of Carroll and then 2 minutes later, the exact same thing happens to Torres and it is ignored.

- We have no tempo, direction or heart today. We look like we expected Newcastle to roll over and die, and we have no plan B

If Roy fails to do anything to change this, it will be interesting to hear whats said on monday to John Henry. I'm sure Roy will come up on the show anyway but if he had won his last few games then that we be the answer "improving" etc.

But this way, its proof thats two days old, he doesnt know what he is doing. The only time the camaras went on him today he look 100% stumped.

Also not happy with Torres to be honest. He hasn't offered us anything in ages.

Have spotted at least twice (once with N'gog on the ball and once with Kuyt.) that he could've had a run through if he'd got decent service from either, but they didn't even pass to him. He won't look good that often if he doesn't get the service.

Another poor performance away from home so far.

This is going to be painful to watch between now and the end of the season.

Many knew this was going to be the case before we hired this joke. Why he is still in charge considering he has shown he has no clue what so ever is abso-fucking-lutely baffling.

Think we've been unlucky. By far the better team IMO

I agree. We been poor compared to our recent form but we should be beating this team. If we stop Barton from creating all of Newcastle's play like he did in the 1st half we should'nt worry about conceding for starters.
