  1. Was chatting with a few mates of mine around Europe and they can't see it on their teles either so I think a stream may be hard to come by. Instead of showing this sky are showing Wycombe vs Huddersfield. :wallbutt:
  2. Disappointing game. On the positive side, it highlights areas for improvement and hopefully in this window we can make a start at fixing some of these issues. Looking at it from a negative point of view, some of our players are currently as useful as a cock flavoured oven glove. This needs to change.
  3. Based on the small amount you have told me I'd expect that you would (if taken on) be at academy level. This would mean you would be working at running the summer program and doing work on the pre-season prep for the academy teams. Email me some details over mate and I will have a read through, then we can chat more with more facts rather than me having to guess your experience etc. Speak soon mate, Best of luck with your current team. p.may@smallerearth.com
  4. Here mate Soccer Coaching Experience - Hungary | Hungary | Volunteering | Smaller Earth That will go through the office who will check it all over. Then it gets passed on to me to do interviews and then I make the decisions. Keep me posted and/or email me if you need any help mate. It will go to google ads end of this month so I wanted to put it on here and twitter first as I like people off here (plus your reds :) ) if you email me some details over, I can keep an eye out for your application. Same goes for the rest of you applying. p.may@smallerearth.com
  5. Hahaha fucking awesome shout! I'd made the connection before, he's the spit !!!
  6. He wasn't the best player for us, but Istvan Kozma is a good academy coach and friend of mine over at Vasas. Very friendly guy. Those working at Vasas will get to meet and work with him. I went back to visit in October, was much colder. Name dropping, sorry :)
  7. Hello, first off, I haven't been to the states mate so can't comment. All I can say is that I know experience in Europe is much more respected from other European teams more so that the US. We have two levels of coaches, I created it like this so that if someone has not been able to do their badges as can so often be the case, they are not ruled out. This is based on potential and being the right person. Therefore, if you have coaching badges, you may not get a place, and if you dont have them, you may well do. I will meet the applicants, interview and then there are a few things we do to see what sort of coach you are now and could be. I had only coached amateur youth football before going out, I impressed whilst I was out there and was offered an academy position which I turned down, I wasn't ready to move out there full time. I did however want to run the management side of the program and thankfully the company agreed. We only had one last year and 6 coaches, this year we have much more, and different levels. I am very excited about the summer and I am already working hard on both the coaches and the new clubs for following years including Italy, Spain and Portugal. How did you find the states mate? We decided for now to stay in Europe for the reasons I mentioned before and that it is much cheaper for coaches. Our company own camp america so we already know what the states can offer and we are very happy to be working in Europe when it comes to Football. Thats not to say that the states dont have a lot to offer, just that we feel we are better off working in Europe at this moment in time. Did that answer your questions? You can drop me a line if you would like more info, could send a few things over?
  8. Consistent. Would be an interesting shout, for the right price.
  9. Top football clubs and training grounds. Shit load of cheap priced (but expensive tasting) Rum All the jelly beans you can eat. 80p pints. Hot sun, hotter girls. Just get on with it haha. What are you waiting for? Playing the waiting game is my job. It is a great place to go, I love Hungary a lot. Have a soft spot for a few teams out there after visiting. You can learn so much and have a blast at the same time. 3 of us got jobs out of it too (only 5 went) I wanted to go for the program management side and make it bigger and better for all. The others, one is now working at Birmingham fc and the other stayed in Hungary at the Vasas.
  10. In 35 to 45 degree heat daily? I'd suggest not. Forgot to mention a bit more about Hungary. Here are my fave bits; (got to go to Balaton sound which was awesome too. Google it of you don't know what I'm on about :) ) Fit girls EVERYWHERE! Awesome bars and clubs. How does 80p for a good pint grab ya? Ace food! Great football clubs, training grounds and people. 8/10 adults speak English. English people are loved out there, not to mention when they find out you are with the clubs you are like a mini celeb. Last summer I got, free drinks, guest lists, tables at awesome restaurants etc. I love this place. Been back twice since and will be there all summer again this coming year. Can't wait!
  11. I have a very good relationship with the guys at Debrecen. Lovely team and great training ground. Any questions mate, message me on here or email p.may@smallerearth.com
  12. Sadly not mate. We already have English teachers out there. 3 good friends of mine from England now live out there and work full time as teachers. If you are being serious, then I am more than happy to keep you in mind if a position opens up?
  13. We have two levels of coaching programs mate. Academy level is for those with coaching badges and summer camp is for those without or who are wishing to gain some. Both of which are at professional clubs. Often at the same time, its usually more about responsibility. It's more about the right sort of person, someone with the right mentality, drive and passion. Someone with no badges could be the next Dalglish or 'Special one' but not have had the opportunity. All the interviews and decisions are made by me anyway. Applicants will apply to the office who will vet to make sure we don't have any nutters applying then it gets passed over to me. My name is Phil by the way, you don't have to call me waiting game haha.
  14. (If this is in the wrong place then feel free to move it. It is football related though so I hope its OK where it is.) Morning reds, Hope you all had a nice Christmas. I thought I'd post a link to this as my company have now finished (this years) contracts with some Professional Football clubs around Europe and are now offering European coaching experience programs. This program has been designed so that all parties are gaining as much as possible from it. The selected coaches will be travelling to Hungary (mostly Budapest) and working with profession football academies. I did this last summer and it was AMAZING. I loved every minute of it. The idea behind the program is that it is going to a country where English is an extremely valued (skill) to have. You will get the opportunity to coach at professional academies and the clubs summer program. This will run over the summer. The clubs are using this as a scouting system for English speaking coaches (who are like gold dust by the way) The clubs are paying for this privilege by sorting the FA and contributing to your costs too. The clubs are making very little cash off this if any at all as one of my stipulations is that the summer camp should be FREE for the youth players. I said this because I am aware how expensive English lessons out there are and that I feel a deserving young player should get the chance to experience this regardless of how wealthy there parents are. They would have preferred to charge the players I think but, they are that keen on having this chance to work with and scout English speaking coaches that they agreed. This is talent and potential based for both the coaches and the youth players. The coaches will be paying a set rate which covers their accommodation and all there meals (as I said, this is a pretty low rate as it is subsidised.) You will pay nothing for the club, the experience or anything that comes from it. Your meals will be in the restaurant that is in the club. I have yet to sample them all but the 3 I have, FANTASTIC (and rather expensive too, so I am pretty chuffed they have agreed such a small set rate) I could write forever about this as this program is my baby and I love it. So, I will stop myself now. Please find below the link, have a look and if you have any questions at all just ask. 15. Cheers mate. Still have to wait a little time so it will be around 18 months of planning I think. It is something we are really interested in doing. Thank you for your info, top man. Gazelle - Thank you for your info too. I am looking forward to getting over there and having a look around. I will remember about the Poker scene, I am shit at poker so if I didn't know that I could possibly lose a shit load of cash hahaha. Cheers for all the info folks, really appreciate it.
  16. Thank you so much mate. That was great to hear. I will get in touch with an expat group. I was very interested in the States however, my mother in law can't fly and as happy as that makes me, my mrs point blank refuses to move anywhere outside Europe for this reason. My degree would make me great money in both the states and Aus, but sadly those are both off the cards.
  17. I think that is a great shout Bri. Thank you mate. We are visiting in Feb to have a look around and just meet some people. We wouldn't be moving for just under two years as I need to graduate. (went to uni a bit late, better late than never though) The place looks lovely and my mrs could get a job out there I think, because she did her 4 year degree in Primary education rather than the PGCE so she is preferred over here, I expect its the same over there. What did you do in Malta if you dont mind me asking mate? How long ago was this?
  18. Don't know if it helps. I was born in Liverpool, scouse parents but was brought up in Chester. I say Boss to describe things, my folks don't though. Hope that helps mate.
  19. I am hoping some of you may be able to help. Me and my better half are considering moving abroad, she is a primary school teacher and I have a degree in Estate Management although am currently doing something not connected at all. Malta is somewhere that has interested us because English is a joint language and although we are learning Spanish, we are by no means fluent. I was wondering if any of you had moved away from the UK? If so, how did you find it? What complications etc? Would be great just to talk with some people on here and get some of you opinions. It is a big step for us, but over the last few years we have been talking about it a lot. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Cheers Reds.
  20. I really hate international break. Just thought I'd share that :)
  21. How many more have to die before the documents can be realised? It makes me sick to the stomach that it has taken this long and we still aren't there. Justice for the 96 isn't just a slogan its a heartfelt call, no, CRY for Justice! You shouldn't have to beg people (that are suppose to be there to protect and care for you) do to not only their jobs, but what is morally right. I hope beyond all hope that I am wrong, but I can't see them realising un-edited docs before Thatchers dies. As I said, I pray to god that I'm wrong but I am cynical. I was 1 month old when 96 Fans never came home, it was the first game I watched in my baby seat on the TV. 22 Years later, there has still not been a sufficient inquiry or investigation, let alone justice. My thoughts and prayers daily are with the families of those who never came home.
  22. ole Bacon face won't be happy his bitch is making new friends.
