Bought a pair of these the other day. Astroturf trainers. I bought them for playing football because I don't like wearing studs.

I haven't played in them yet, tonight will be my first chance. However I just put them on and it is like having crepe paper wrapped around your feet. They crinkle and bend and seem to offer less protection than a sock would.

Does anyone have or have any experience with these? Are they as shite as they seem?

Of course I'm not wearing them on grass. I never meant proper studs. But a lot of boots you get have different types of studs or blades or whatever and I prefer the astroturf type. I play on astroturf with guys some of whom wear studs.

I never bought them cos of style over substance. They were £15 and my old boots had given out on me. I reckon I'll just buy another pair, classic black like I originally wanted. I was suckered in by the price tag.

"They know the way to goal!"

My dad always said this when he bought me a new pair of boots. Having said that, mine were never red. If they were, he might have said, "They know the way to the best hair salon and most highly recommended bistro in town."

Happy new boots.

If you can afford to blow them off for another pair try them first. If they are in fact good then give the price of the others to charity! If they are crap but the others and give them red ones to a charity shop

donning a red jersey and wearing red movers are two completely different things, studs or no studs.

think it would look quite good, red jersery, white shorts, red trainers....

as said above though....you better be a good player if your going to wear red trainers!

Fuckin hell you lot. What the fuck does it matter what colour they are? They were £15 - reduced from £40. I didnt want to spend much on them so I bought them rather than going for a better looking black pair. Its footy not a fucking fashion contest. Anyway, I've taken them back and got my money back because they were shite. Not because they were red. Who honestly gives to suger coated shites if they are red?

If they are 15 quid chances are they are shite quality, you can probably get an upgrade of the F10's then they will be decent it would cost you about £50 if you plan on using them for a season invest, them cheap things wont last 5 minute and will no doubt rip your feet apart.

look at something like these
